Which was a better strategy for the chosen Vice President?

"17% .......Women who say Biden has made them more likely to vote for Obama" by TIME poll

"32% .......Women who say Palin has made them more likely to vote for McCain" by TIME poll

"McCain's choice of Palin as his running mate was a bigger hit with women than was Obama's choice of Biden" stated by Karen Tumulty from "Time" magazine.

Tumulty, K. (2008, September 29). Maxed-Out Moms. Time, Vol. 172, NO.13.

If Senator Obama selected Senator Clinton as a running mate, then that would give him the leverage in this election, and that would of been an intellectual strategy to form a stronger and more powerful partisan. The conventional wisdom goes to Sen. McCain for his strategic selection of his running mate.

McCain acomplished his purpose of energizing the Republican base with his Palin pick but she has been getting increasing criticism in the past week, including criticism from those who initially applauded her selection. Thursday's debate will be a very big test for her. I am not sure her support in the polls you cite will continue to hold up.
